Top 10 Albums of 2007

It’s that time of year again. Here’s my list for the Top 10 Albums of 2007. These aren’t necessarily my favorite now… instead, this list reflects how much I liked these albums over the course of the year at the peak of my obsession over each one.

    I haven’t made a top 10 list yet this year. But Justice and Of Montreal might occupy the top 2 spots. The Blonde Redhead is unreal, I loved the new Bloc Party, Caribou is a great album… the MIA, I get it.

    BTW, do you know SebastiAn? He’s french dj and on same label as Justice [ed banger records].

    I’d possibly say song of the year is ‘Daft Punk – Human After All (SebastiAn remix)’. Look that song up and prepare to dance your face off. I just love his remixes, I can’t describe what it is, but they are hot. Also ‘Justice – Stress (ZEUR edit)’ is the best Justice remix I’ve heard all year. ‘Caribou – She’s the One (Hot Chip Remix)’ is another goodie. ‘Death From Above 1979 – Romantic Rights (The Phone Lovers Remix)’ is hot too.

    Niggy Tardust — this is an excellent album. It’s Saul Williams, produced by Trent Reznor. The CD is just SICK.

    The track ‘Patrick Wolf – Magic Position’ is in my top 10 tracks of the year.

    Solid mixes that are in vein of Girl Talk — The Hood Internet – mixtape volume one, and The Hood Internet – mixtape volume two. Excellent stuff.

    If you like Linkin Park, the album by ‘Red – End of Silence’ sounds like Linkin Park’s debut album; it’s awesome, with piano’s, some yelling, etc. [if you want to hear the best track, 'let go']

    In the vein of hard rock, Serj Tankian’s album is awesome. [lead singer of system of a down]
