Update:WordPress 2.1 has been officially released. It’s upgrade time.
Original Post:For anyone blogging in WordPress, this list of “10 things you should know about WordPress” will get your heart pumping.
I love WordPress, and for that reason, I have strong gripes about it (my gripes would be less strong if i wasn’t so passionate about the software). Topping my list of gripes are:
- The laborious process involved in switching between the Rich Text Editor and the Code view
- The hacky AJAX image upload implementation
- Lack of support for Wordpress.com -> WordPress Stand-alone migrations
- Auto-save of drafts!!! I’ve lost at least 5 posts due to lack of auto-save. I feel like I’m using Word 6.0 from the mid-nineties!
I’m elated to say that WordPress is addressing all these concerns. I can’t wait to upgrade (though I’m not going to dive into the beta… I need stability on my net presence).

Hey, guys, how did you manage to crush IE 7 with your weblog!?
With your work the “Browse Happy” campaign will rich its goal in one month time.
Pleas release the code as soon as it gets stable enough.
That will scratch one of my itches ;)
