valleywag-logo.jpgThe meme today about Valleywag relaunching with a new look-and-feel along with a new (soon-to-be-picked) blogger didn’t surprise me too much. I always read Valleywag the same way people watch trash tv: with equal amounts of interest and recoiling disgrace. Reading the very personal commentary about the social lives of the digerati was so voyeuristic. It was the low-budget reality show equivalent of Silicon Valley news.

While I’m somewhat glad to see Valleywag grow up, there is now a void to fill in its absence, and I have no doubt, someone will step up and get too personal with Silicon Valley execs again.

I will be watching with curiosity to see how the site evolves. I certainly like the new look-and-feel better.
