Plate of Truffles

I attended the Chocolate Show (careful: this link blasts music at you: terrible official site) this weekend at the Metropolitan Pavilion on the corner of 18th and 6th. It was a pricy entry fee ($25), but once inside, you could pig out on free samples of chocolate truffles, chocolate bars, chocolate nibs, drinking chocolate, chocolate brownies, and any other delivery vehicle for chocolate imaginable.

The highlight of the day for me was a warm filling served on a spoon which was a mix of 70% cocoa chocolate and Merlot. So good, and so addictive, they should make a version delivered in an IV Drip.

Needless to say, I was buzzing on a sugar high all day, and I felt compelled to eat a giant plate of vegetables for dinner.

This was the 9th annual chocolate show in NY, so I’m sure it will be back next year. It’s definitely worth your time and money if you’re a chocolate fan.
