Geometry..err, I mean, *Grid* Wars 2

gw7.jpgMy guess is you have heard the buzz surrounding Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, one of the best-selling title in the Xbox Live Arcade. Back in March 2006, the conversion rate for this game in the Xbox Live arcade was a massive 39%! Needless to say, based on that conversion rate, it’s a pixelated version of cocaine. It’s great because you can play a complete game in just 7 or 8 minutes; it’s highly-addictive bite-sized entertainment.

However, unless you shelled out $600+ dollars for an Xbox 360, you have not had the opportunity to play Geometry Wars… until now. An excellent Geometry Wars clone was released in August, called Grid Wars 2. The creator had to take the project down off his site because he was served with a Cease & Desist (clearly the clone is a very accurate copy of the original). But, Grid Wars 2 is still available for download from a third-party review site.

“…unless you shelled out $600 dollars for an Xbox 360…”

    Why $600 ? That’s PS3 price tag.

Thanks for the download link of Grid Wars 2…I reblog it on my blog but with a different (shorter) video clip…

Perhaps $600 is an exaggeration, but the Xbox 360 (and PS3) costs more money than any console is worth. Glad you like the game :)
