Music Videos Galore

I have been busy lately between work, taking care of Amy (my sis recently had her tonsils removed), and details in my transition to NY, but in the little free time I find, I often jet over to a page I bookmarked on Pitchfork.

Pitchfork Media release their top 100 favorite music videos of all time, with some caveats. No videos for the Director’s Label series (fine, I already own them), and the videos have to be on YouTube. With this plug I thought I would post my favorite. I’m worried about burning the moving into my LCD I’ve played it so many time. Now you get to experience the joys of the delicious hybrid of Ping Pong, slo mo, and Air.

Update: Yuck! The YouTube embed tag broke my blog’s css. That’s brutal. I guess I need to find a new template. Anyone have any tips on making YouTube embedded movies play nicely with WordPress? Anyway, in the mean time, I removed the embedded movie and added a link.

    If you are hosting you’re own Wordpress installation you can use the TextControl plugin to enable clean javascript embeds. Check it out here http://dev.wp-plugins.org/wiki/TextControl.

    Great advice. I’ll try it out this weekend. I think the embed issue is that my CSS doesn’t like the placement of “objects” like YouTube because I have other javascript embeds right now (feedburner, google analytics) that work just fine. Will this recommendation solve the CSS problem?

    Not exactly sure if it will fix the CSS problem. I was having problems embedding VideoEgg clips (it was breaking my page up horribly as well) and came across this in my search to fix it. YMMV :-)
