		<description>Dennett's book is provocative, but (IMO) too philosophical.  Christof Koch's  "The Quest for Consciousness: A Neurobiolgical Approach." offers a more systematic &#38; empirical approach.

Also, it provides a clearer roadmap if you want to apply consciousness research to commercial issues - e.g., evaluating how digital media formats influence mental states, and developing independent metrics of interestingness or engagement</description>
